ABSTRACT
A newly developed integrated process monitoring and control system is described. In this system separate monitoring and control units are connected to one or more master stations via a duplicated bus system. Systems with a very high service quality can be built with this architecture. The display panel is equipped with high resolution colour monitors. Special emphasis is layed on an ergonomic man-machine dialogue adapted to the requirements of a ship.
