Computer dating-modern day matchmaker or recipe for disaster? The answer is probably both. The concept of finding that special someone with the assistance of computer technology is not new. As early as 1962, columnist Russell Baker described a phenomenon on New England college campuses, in which students turned to a “compatibility research” group for help finding a companion. Since that time the fad waxed and waned, enjoying particular popularity with collegians.
