ABSTRACT
A continuous uptake and emission of greenhouse gasses (GHGs), mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), occurs on the soil surface. Change in the atmospheric CO2 concentration because of the dynamics (sequestration or fixation, stability, and decomposition) of the massive soil organic carbon (SOC) pool and other sources are a cause of the global climatic changes.
