The American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) and some federal agencies work toward obtaining epidemiological information, while the AAPCC has an active role in assisting with the treatment of exposures Epidemiological studies assist government and industry in determining package safety, effective treatment measures, conditions of exposure, and frequency of exposure.
