ABSTRACT
Stainless steels are ferrous alloys with a chromium content of at least 12%. Since chromium is an incorrodable element, all alloys within the stanless steel family have a high degree of corrosion resistance. Generally, the greater the chromium content, the more corrosion-resistant is the material.
