ABSTRACT

Polypropylene (PP) is one of the most important polymers in use. The one important application of PP is the production of biaxially oriented PP film (BOPP), which finds major applications in the area of packaging. The principal structural factors affecting end use properties of PP are microstructure (i.e., tacticity distribution, other stereo-defects and presence/absence of any co-monomer), molecular weight, molecular weight distribution (MWD) and crystallinity.
