ABSTRACT

One of the possible methods for microcapsules production is phase inversion precipitation. This technique requires the preparation of microdroplets of the solved polymer containing the core materials. The microdroplets are then precipitated due to the presence of a nonsolvent for the polymer. In this chapter, we will describe the technique by using as example the production of polysulfone microcapsules by sprays and phase inversion precipitation in two modes, liquid and vapor nonsolvent media.
