ABSTRACT
The realisation of the method of blocks’ hot charging in the reheating furnaces before hot rolling requires a preliminary evaluation of the possible energy saving. On that basis, corresponding technological variant for realisation should be accepted. For this purpose information for the blocks’ heat content is necessary before their charging in the heating furnaces depending on the time and type of the transport operations.
