ABSTRACT

The phosphorodiamindate morpholino oligomers (PMO) are comprised of (dimethylamino) phosphinylideneoxy-linked morpholino backbone moieties (Figure 20.1). These morpholino moieties contain a heterocyclic base recognition moiety of DNA (A,C,G,T) attached to a substituted morpholine ring system. When linked to each other via the (dimethylamino) phosphinylideneoxy function, the functional group formed by the intersubunit linkage is commonly referred to as a phosphorodiamidate.
