ABSTRACT
Populations in nature are rarely unstructured, that is acting as a single, well-mixed, and random-mating unit. Instead populations are structured by various mechanisms. One ubiquitousmechanism that structures populations is spatial subdivision-spread out across multiple sites, populations naturally form subpopulations that covary to a restricted degree.
