ABSTRACT
Malignant disease has become an increasingly common diagnosis in pilots and air traffic controllers (ATCOs). This reflects the situation in the general population, where there has been a reduction in all-cause mortality and increased life expectancy, combined with an increase in cancer incidence, due to changes in lifestyle factors and increased detection by screening.
