ABSTRACT
Rotary wing aircraft, also known as rotorcraft, are heavierthan-air machines supported in flight by the reactions of the air on one or more rotors. They include manned and unmanned helicopters, autogyros, gyrodynes and cyclocopters. This chapter will deal predominantly with discussion of manned helicopters and associated aeromedical issues.
