ABSTRACT
During the last 10 years, the European Commission has built up a European Union (EU) noise expert network whose mission is to provide assistance in the development and implementation of the European noise policy. Part of this network is the Working Group Assessment of Exposure to Noise (WG-AEN), which was formed in 2001 from two former working groups, the Noise Mapping and the Computation and Measurement group.
