Elasto-plastic dynamic response of thin-walled columns subjected to pulse compression

The subject of the study is a short thin-walled column shown in Fig. 1. It is assumed that the loaded edges of the column are simply supported and remain straight and parallel during loading. The shape of walls initial imperfections fulfills the boundary conditions along all edges of component plates and corresponds directly to the first static buckling mode.
