ABSTRACT

The term of ‘‘FEM’’ was firstly put forward in 1965 and has been widely adapted in engineering. The theory and algorithm of FEM is increasingly perfect until now. The core idea of FEM is the discretization of structures, which disperse the actual structure to regular element body. The practical properties of actual structures is analyzed with discrete structure and the approximate results are substituted for actual structure to satisfy engineering precision, it thus can solve many complex problems which can not be solved by theoretical analysis in practical engineering. Today, among the most popular engineering software of CAE, includes NASTRAN, ADINA, ANSYS, ABAQUS, MARC, MAGSOFT and COSMOS, etc.
