ABSTRACT
No additional parameters are needed to interpret the results thanks to using Darcy’s formula directly. However, it takes long time to reach a steady state. During this period, permeability could be changed due to hydration. Potential for leaks around the specimen is high. Because of these limitations, the direct methods can only be applied to materials of which the permeability is not very low.
