ABSTRACT
Various assays are available for laboratory diagnosis of toxoplasmosis including serological methods, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and isolation of the parasites in tissue culture and/in laboratory animals. PCR and in vitro and in vivo isolation of the parasite are presented in separate headings in other sections of the book. Here, we will deal with the diagnosis of toxoplasmosis using serological methods.
