ABSTRACT
Response spectrum theory is a form of structural dynamic analysis based on response of viscous damping SDOF system under seismic wave load. The response cure of the spectrum shows the relationship between the maximum seismic response and the structural natural period. Detailed derivations in the literature can be found elsewhere (Rong and Shua, 2008; Ding et al, 1997), and these are omitted in this paper.
