ABSTRACT

Ancient cavern as a relic of human in the process of human development, generally has a high cultural value and tourism value. It is usually developed and utilized as a kind of tourism resources. At the same time such ancient underground cavern after long-term weathering and human activities, has produced a variety of factors that affect the cavern stability, which needs to be protected. However, the application of virtual reality technology in the ancient cavern protection research is very less. This paper does the simulation reproduction of the existed and related space environment of Cuiguangyan ancient caverns through a 3D-dimensional virtual technology, in order to provide the basis for the protection and regulation of Cuiguangyan ancient caverns. Meanwhile, according to the site investigation and analysis of information, the author applies the 3D virtual reality technology to the restoration of the historical environment of Cuiguangyan and Aigongdong ancient caverns and their surroundings.
