ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Toxicity of flavonoids from Siraitia grosvenorii (FSG) extracted by Pulsed electric field (PEF) technology was detected through bone marrow cell micronucleus test firstly. As results, no any general toxicity showed in all detected indicators. In the bone marrow cell micronucleus test, significant statistical differences were observed between the positive control group and all treatment groups (P< 0.05), while no significant statistical differences were observed between the negative control group and all treatment groups. The results obtained in the present study could support the conclusion that consumption of flavonoids extracted from Siraitia grosvenorii has no adverse effects for humans.
