ABSTRACT
Data security is of high concern due to increasing thefts and misuse of digital data. Authentication is one aspect of providing security with the help of which one can confirm its ownership. Another very important aspect is making the image data unreadable to the users, which can be achieved by image encryption. Many traditional methods and approaches are available to secure digital images, a discussion of few of them are presented here.
