ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to extend the ESL to the cases where the global and local vibration modes of the stiffened deck panels interact. This is done by deriving the equations of motion of ESL plate, homogenizing these for certain local mode shapes and derivation of the localization scheme from which the eigenfrequencies can be extracted.
