A video communication platform based on service-oriented architecture
Some work has been done to design the communication system based on SOA principle. Literature [6,7] presents a solution to interoperate SIP and
H.323 systems. Literature  provides a general session management protocol to accommodate more protocols and applications with an easy to use web interface. Literature  proposes a quality-driven decision engine for real-time video transmissions. Literature [10-13] proposes a Global Multimedia Collaboration System (Global-MMCS) based on the XGSP web-services framework. In this paper, we propose a more general service-oriented video communication platform which can provide services in different aspects, e.g., session control, media processing and application logic.
