ABSTRACT

Under normal operating condition, FSIG’s rotation speed almost remains the same as the synchronous speed, performing as a Constant Speed Constant Frequency (CSCF) power generation system. In this paper, we establish the FSIG electro-magnetic transient model on PSCAD/EMTDC in order to study its three-phase and two-phase shortcircuit fault features. See the FSIG parameters in (Zhang et al. 2012, Zhang et al. 2013). Rated power = 1600 kW; rated voltage = 0.39837 kV; Rs + jXs = 0.00488 + j0.01386; rotor impedance: Rr + jXr = 0.0549 + j0.105; excitation reactance: Xm = 3.9527; TJ = 2 s.
