ABSTRACT
With the aggravation of global environmental problems, treatment of sewage sludge is becoming more and more important. Much research has been done on the combustion of sludge by the researchers. The experiment by Koch J and Kaminsky W [1] points out that sludge containing carbon amount was greatly reduced because of precipitation of volatile content. Ogada Tom and Joachim Werthere [2] found that there was most precipitation of volatile content when water vapor evaporation and the particles temperature were still low. Sun and Kozinski [3] analyzed the combustion process of papermaking sludge and found that heating rate increasing or the oxygen concentration decreasing can cause ignition temperature rise.
