ABSTRACT
In most cases the problems of CAD model errors do not affect the efficiency of graphical applications, as these errors are too small to be observed visually. But major problems are encountered in downstream applications (Butlin & Clive 1996). For instance quality mesh is essential for engineering analysis such as CFD, FEM. Therefore, geometric data models that have been created by mesh generation software or imported from external CAD systems have to satisfy quality constraints which usually impede automatic mesh generation (Bronsart et al. 2004).
