ABSTRACT

In the present work, this effect is analyzed for the case of Pb (II) contaminated soils whose immobilization may be induced by specific transformations such as formation of aggregates where Pb (II) may be entrapped, formation of new highly reactive surfaces onto which Pb (II) may be adsorbed thus reducing the Pb (II) leachability and its dispersion in the environment by the application of SiO2 sand.
