ABSTRACT
Inundation settlement is a complex behaviour in partially saturated soil where the volume change behaviour occurs when the water table rises to the foundation level at constant applied pressure. In the tropics, soils used as suitable material for earth filling and platform construction are mostly
phenomenon, hence redeveloping techniques in design and assumptions taken to cater for this soil behaviour.
