ABSTRACT
Due to the complexity of the structural system composing the tooth/bone assembly, the numerical model construction must consider some degree of simplification. The majority of the numerical models studied in the literature, simulating the tooth/ bone system, assume reasonable approximations regarding the geometry, the material properties, the boundary conditions and the load conditions (Young et al. 1998).
