ABSTRACT

With the increasing importance attached to English teaching and reform in primary and middle schools, and under the pressure of college entrance examination, students spend a lot of time and energy in learning English. Their English levels are improving significantly and continuously. But after entering university, the non-English major students lose the goal in English learning. Students lack motive of English learning and only aim at passing the College English Test Band 4 (CET4) and Band 6 (CET6) only.
