ABSTRACT
In a total edentulous patient the only relationship that exists between the upper and lower jaw occurs in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Although some authors consider important individualize the condylar sagital guidance (SCG) to a correct preparation of a bimaxilar denture (Gennari Filho 2007, Kubrak 1998), others claim that the reference values must be used, making the whole process simpler and without great clinical damage (Carlsson 2006). Therefore total denture manufacture still remains a very demanding work.
