ABSTRACT

We conducted a study of a case and analysis of a casting of a two partially removable PRDP, which was broken prematurely after a few years of continuous use.

The analysed material was a metal alloy consisting primarily of: 60% Co, 29% Cr, 6.2% Mo, used in dentistry for making PRDPs. These prostheses were made through the technique by investment casting, in order to restore the lost dental elements, re-establishing function (mastication and phonation) and aesthetics.
