ABSTRACT

Microcellular rubbers have developed in 1950s. Now, it has been applied to the shoe-sole, shockprotector, grips for sports equipment and etc. The stiffness of the microcellular rubber depends on the original stiffness of polymer resin and microstructure (in Fig. 1). The homogeneous methods for the material which has periodic micro-structures like micro-pores in the microcellular rubbers have been investigated numerically[1] [2] [3] [4].
