ABSTRACT
Unlike the previous development strategies that focused on policy content, the new international poverty reduction initiatives widen the perspective by taking into account two further dimensions – namely, planning and implementation processes, and policy monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems, which are now deemed to be vital components of development strategies.
