Crime scene and evidence meas ure ment have improved in recent years and can be expected to improve further. •e regular use of any type of scale to meas ure impression evidence has only become standard practice at crime scenes in the past few decades. It is a rare sight these days to see a duty book, coin, or pen used as a substitute for a scale. •is change is a good thing.
