ABSTRACT
News accounts have reported that IA abductors use similar tactics (i.e., impersonating a nurse, healthcare worker, social worker, etc.). When an IA occurs in a home setting, the abductor may result to violence to abduct the infant. Some news accounts of home IAs document that the IA abductor entered an expectant mother’s home, murdered the mother, and surgically removed the child. e following are examples of IAs from news agencies:

University Hospital nursery told police she was trying to get a baby because she owed someone money.
