ABSTRACT
The management team at EMC Supply was now beginning to see how they could transform their complex environment into a Lean environment. They understood how to create a futurestate value stream that would use the principles of flow, pull, and leveling in their mixed model environment. They also realized they had much work ahead to implement this future state. Before jumping into the implementation, we felt it best to provide an overall review of the future state in order to provide a clear understanding of its operation. So back to the whiteboard we went to put it all together for them.
