Larvae: The immature form of an insect. With flies the larval form is commonly referred to as maggots.
Maggot: The larval form of flies. Necrotic tissue: Tissue most commonly at a wound site, injury site, or
area where blood flow is cut off for a sustained period and where the tissue has died. It is no longer viable and is decomposing or rotting.
