ABSTRACT
Studying culture, cops, or crime requires the same basic skill sets and procedures. You have a question that requires answers. Maybe it’s a “whodunit?” or an issue of “why or why not?” Either way, there is a challenge and it is there for the inquirer to solve. Of course, we know that our question is, “Why do good cops go bad?” We have worked our way through gathering the facts, conducting the surveillances, and interviewing the participants and witnesses. Now is the time to lay out what this investigative process has shown us.
