ABSTRACT

Maserati. e company produces external parts like sides and roofs, and internal parts like bumpers of an automotive. ese parts are produced in di®erent stamping presslines that are grouped as robotic presslines and manual presslines. e robotic presslines work automatically without operators and includes a small number of presses in sequential. On the other hand, the manual pressline needs operators for loading and unloading the products. e stamping scheduling problem involves assignment and sequencing of metal sheets on these presses and scheduling them in such a way that minimizes production time and satis¥es all the demand. Products require di®erent number of operations (presses), and presses are not identical. e details of the problem that we consider in this chapter are elaborated in Section 3.2. Next, we present a brief literature review.
