ABSTRACT
Calico Creek is a small agricultural community located on the catchment of the Sally River in southern Queensland. The area is subtropical and lies amid the steep hills at the edge of the Great Dividing Range, 80 km inland from the Queensland coast. Calico Creek is 10 km west of the township of Gympie (population 50 000) and comes under the jurisdiction of the local elected Shire Council.
