ABSTRACT
Many abiotic stresses such as drought, high and cold temperature, salinity, flooding, etc., exert their influence on growth and productivity of cotton. Several concerted research studies were directed in studying their effects, developed techniques, and enabled in understanding physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms to some of these stress factors. The research advances that occurred are briefly discussed in the following sections.
