ABSTRACT

“Eco-entrepreneurship” is a new phenomenon in a rapidly developing field of research. The impact of the green practices had been changed according to the industry and the sociocultural context of the environment. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to review the literature associated with different perspectives on green practices and how it affects the financial performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises. In accordance with the review, a total of 155 journal articles addressing different constituents of green practices have been examined in the ways of thematic and citation analysis. This literature review structured in the following ways: the first section presents a review of related theories and empirical studies carried out by pre-researchers; second, it presents the results of the thematic and citation analyses carried out based on selected articles; and third, it considers the implications of future research.
