ABSTRACT
This chapter interrogates why officer-involved killings remain understudied and pinpoints gaps where the discussion is ignored when the topic shifts to Latinos. The author’s analysis focuses specifically and critically on actions resulting from law enforcement shootings, particularly in the southwest region of the USA. It concludes with policy suggestions and recommendations.
