ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the role of human rights for people with disability. This chapter begins with a discussion of some of the ways that disability can be considered, including through the medical lens, through the social model of disability, and through the interactional model. This chapter then explores the development of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the impact of this convention. Finally, this chapter explores the reproductive and sexual rights for persons with disability.
