ABSTRACT
I have lived through a part of history in which technology has brought revolutionary changes. From the time that fission was discovered, as a surprise to all of us, to the day where the first atomic bomb exploded, the time passed was less than seven years. It happened that I was involved in practically every phase of that development. A democracy was in control of the new weapon and, therefore, the freedom of the world was preserved. Think of what would have happened if the first who got hold of nuclear weapons had been Hitler or Stalin?
