ABSTRACT

With the increase in applications of FRP, disposal of waste has become a severe problem. So, incineration of the Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) material waste is the alternate option to reduce the volume of waste. The incineration process produces small toxic dust particles. Double stage cyclone dust collector helps to remove small dust particles from flue gases. In this paper, different cyclone models are considered as 1D2D, 2D2D and 1D3D. Cyclone models are designed according to the functional requirement. Flow analysis is carried out in CFD software with parameters as velocity and barrel diameter of cyclone to study the dust collection efficiency.
