ABSTRACT

Awareness of entrepreneurship in terms of intention to set up one’s own business and self-employment, in addition to common recognition of the usefulness of enterprise skills when competing in the business world, were among the generally accepted reasons behind the initiative of promoting enterprise education. Specifically, enterprise education is the process of training individuals so that they can recognize business opportunities, and have the knowledge and related skills to respond through setting up a business venture. This article explores factors that encourage undergraduate students to decide to become entrepreneurs upon finishing their studies at the university. The results revealed that “attracted by success of other entrepreneurs,” seems to be the most agreed-upon factor that influences students to become entrepreneurs upon graduation.
