ABSTRACT

Tourism behavior is a concept and approach to see the system that develops in the world of tourism itself. Tourist consumer behavior is complex and dynamic. Changes in human behavior and society impacts perceptions, decision-making choices, and interest in something. The purpose of the research is to analyze and explore aspects of tourist consumer behavior patterns. We can see the mindset of tourist consumers in Indonesia through the paradigm of tourism behavior. We based this research on observation, using a case study in Yogyakarta Special Region. The method of this research uses a quantitative approach through survey and the analysis of secondary data. The result of this study indicates that tourist consumer behavior has a variety of fundamental aspects. There also various influences on tourist consumer behavior. We can demonstrate aspects of consumer tourism behavior through tourist income, lifestyle, purchasing power, tourism products offered, and the marketing models offered. Higher income, and increased tourism products and marketing models will increase interest in visiting the tourist destination in Yogyakarta.
