ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the effect of leverage, liquidity, profitability, and rupiah exchange rates on stock prices of Indonesian construction, property, and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2018. Independent variables included profitability, which comprises net profit margin (NPM), return on equity (ROE), return on assets (ROA), and earnings per share (EPS). This study examined the variables that have the most significant influence on stock prices. This research employed a documentary method with a quantitative approach. Descriptive research and verificative exploration were used. The research data consisted of time series and cross-sectional data. They depicted a situation at a particular time. Purposive sampling obtained a sample of 45 companies. The data used were secondary data, where the leverage, liquidity, profitability, and rupiah exchange rates served as the dependent variable. The partial least square (PLS) method was utilized.
